Eyad Al-hihi, MD (Centrus KC Board Chair)

Eyad Al-hihi, MD, MBA, FACP, PCMH CCE, is the Chief Ambulatory Officer & Vice Chair for Ambulatory Services, Chair of KU Health System Quality Committee, Associate Professor of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, at The University of Kansas Health System. Dr. Al-hihi holds an MBA with Healthcare Executive Management focus. He practices in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He also leads the Division for General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Hospital Medicine. He also led the department at The University of Kansas Health System through successful recognition by National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) & Patient Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) at the highest level. Dr. Al-hihi served in 2014 in the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, at the National Institute of Standards & Technology. His team-led initiatives in the last four years led to transformational changes in ambulatory practice and national recognition which affected all eight clinical divisions in the Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Kansas Health System.  He is a Patient centered Medical home Certified Content Expert (PCMH CCE)by the National Committee for Quality assurance (NCQA). Dr Al-hihi chairs the Board of Managers for Centrus Health which is a clinical integrated network in Kansas City area which includes around 1500 providers.
